This is a personal website. It shows my professional background, the areas I work in, free resources and a blog. It carries no advertising.
Use. By browsing the website you agree to use it lawfully and without interfering with how it works.
Intellectual property. The texts, designs, resources and code on this website are mine, unless stated otherwise. You may link to them and quote extracts, citing the source. Third-party trademarks and logos (tools, companies and training centres) belong to their owners and appear only to identify them.
Liability. The content is for information only and is not a substitute for professional advice. I am not responsible for the content of external websites I link to.

What data I collect. Only what you write yourself:
- Contact form: name, email, company (optional), message and the options you tick.
- Self-assessment: name, email, company (optional), your answers and any business details you choose to give. The result is calculated in your browser; it only reaches me if you submit the final form.
What I use it for. To reply to your message and, if you take the self-assessment, to review your answers and write to you with ideas for your situation. Only if you tick the relevant box, also to send you practical ideas on AI for retail from time to time. If you tick it, I keep your email for those mailings, which haven’t started yet; I’ll let you know before the first one and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Legal basis. Your consent, which you give when you submit the form or tick the box. You can withdraw it whenever you like.
How long. As long as needed to deal with your request and, at most, 12 months from our last contact. If you sign up for the ideas by email, until you unsubscribe.
Who else sees it. I don’t pass your data on to anyone, except where required by law. It is processed on my behalf, under contract, only by the technical providers I need:
- Web hosting provider (United States): hosts the website and receives the forms.
- Umami Software, Inc. (United States): counts visits anonymously, without cookies.
- IONOS SE (Germany): manages the domain and the email account I reply to you from.
When a provider is outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is made with the safeguards required by the GDPR (RGPD), such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and take it to another service, by writing to contacto@fernandorivera.es. If you think I haven’t handled it properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) ↗.
Age. You must be at least 14 years old to send me data.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, either its own or third-party ones. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking. To know how many visits it gets, I use Umami, a cookie-free analytics tool that stores no personal data and not your IP address. That’s why you won’t see any cookie notice.
- Technical storage. If you finish the self-assessment and press “Shall we talk it through?”, your browser stores a summary for the session (sessionStorage) to fill in the contact form. It is deleted once used or when you close the tab, and it doesn’t reach me unless you submit the form.
- Fonts. The fonts are served from this same domain. Apart from that analytics, the website doesn’t connect to any third-party services while you browse.
